Halloween Fun - Warts, Eyeballs & Spider String

This adorable witch's nose hangs down, stuffed and free, into the border below!  When I saw the block in Fons & Porter's "Love of Quilting" magazine Sept/Oct 2005, I just knew I had to make it.

See close-ups below

The wart on the witch's nose is a "Beaded Bead" that I learned how to do from an episode of the Carol Duval Show on HGTV.  The Beaded Bead is 3D.  I just love it when Evette Potts comes on and demonstrates a beading technique, she explains it all so well.

Beaded bead was tied down to the quilt.

The eyes are a circle of beads, couched down to the quilt, with another bead sewn into center of the circle

That's a plastic spider hanging from the tip of the witch's hat.  Seed Beads are backstitched to the quilt, to "hang" the spider.
Spider is tacked down to the quilt.
